Students of LAU Participated at Independence Day Celebrations

Students of LAU attended the flag hoisting ceremony on the occasion of Independence Day. They participated in the celebrations organized by the High Commissioner of India to Guyana, His Excellency Dr K J Srinivasa.

During the ceremony, His Excellency hoisted the Tricolor flag, Tiranga, and recited the words of Smt Droupadi Murmu, Hon'ble President of India, to the attending audience. His speech was followed by a festive programme celebrating the rich cultural legacy of India. The students of LAU also participated in the function with great zeal and enthusiasm. The University had observed an academic holiday on that day to enable the Indian students to be a part of this joyous function.
