LAU host interactive session for medical aspirants & parents - provide medical career guidance & counseling
Lincoln American University, School of Medicine (LAU) hosted an interactive session for students in New Delhi, seeking medical education and their parents to guide them about the medical career and opportunities for studying medicine abroad.
In the session, students who want to pursue a medical career and need guidance participated along with their parents. All the participants were greeted by Air Marshal (Dr) Pawan Kapoor, AVSM, VSM, and BAR (Retd), Former Director General of Medical Services (IAF), Vice Chancellor of LAU, counselors & team members.
During the session, Dr. Kapoor guided attendees about the career prospects of medicine; enlighten them about opportunities for doctors and best pathways to pursue medical education in India and abroad.
The meet-up also provided an opportunity to the participants to live-interact with LAU team and clear their questions about the University, MD in Guyana, South America, campus facilities, et cetera. All questions were answered live by Dr. Kapoor & LAU team. Parents also queried about Visa requirements, campus facility, the safety of the students while studying abroad, food availability etc. After getting satisfactory answers to all their concerns, participants looked relaxed & happy.
During the meet-up, participants were also guided about LAU medical programs and procedure to study medicine in Guyana, South America and how LAU accompanies its students from the very first day they come for counseling to the day they become a medical graduate and everything in between including assisting in Visa application, providing boarding, lodging & accommodation facilities, get going with study-life balance, getting clinical rotations in reputed hospitals of Guyana and USA and finally taste the fruit of becoming a doctor.
At the end of the session, students looked happy to clear their career doubts and parents looked relieved about the career of their children. LAU interactive session sparked a new light of hope within all the medical aspirants including those who are not getting admission in medical colleges & universities in India!
