Lincoln American University (LAU) participated in the celebrations of Guyana's 60th Independence Anniversary and 60 years of India–Guyana diplomatic relations, held in New Delhi on 4 August 2026. The event brought together diplomats, government representatives, and distinguished guests to commemorate the enduring friendship between the two nations while reaffirming their commitment to expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.

This occasion was marked by the presence of Minister of State Pabitra Margherita, H.E. Dharamkumar Seeraj, along with the Lincoln American University delegation headed by Air Marshal (Dr.) Pawan Kapoor (Retd.) and Dean Dr. Dinesh Singla. 

Celebrating 60 Years of India-Guyana Diplomatic Relations

Speaking at the occasion of the 60th Independence Anniversary and 60 Years of India-Guyana Diplomatic Relations, Honorable Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita reiterated India's dedication to the reliable and visionary relationship with Guyana.

It was an occasion where the diplomatic relations spanning a period of six decades characterized by democracy, friendship, and mutual development were celebrated. The High Commissioner of Guyana to India, H.E. Dharamkumar Seeraj, joined other distinguished guests to mark the milestone that signifies the friendship that exists between the two nations.

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the independence of Guyana and 60 years of Indo-Guyanese diplomatic ties was a clear indication of the existing relationship between these two countries.
