The spirit of fitness, community, and India-Guyana friendship came alive at the Viksit Bharat Run, a 3-km community run organised by the High Commission of India, Georgetown, Guyana, on 27 September 2026.
Bringing together around 150 participants from different walks of life, the event created an opportunity for people to come together beyond their everyday routines and celebrate the values of fitness, unity, and community participation.
Adding to the occasion, students from Lincoln American University, Miss Sukaniya and Mr. Bhavishya, proudly participated in the run, representing their university and becoming part of this special community event.
The event turned into an even more memorable moment for LAU when Miss Sukaniya secured 3rd place in the 3-km run. Her achievement added a proud highlight to the university's participation and reflected the enthusiasm and spirit of LAU students beyond the classroom.
Acting High Commissioner Mr. Manoj Kumar highlighted the importance of the run as a celebration of fitness, unity, and collective participation, reflecting the broader spirit of Viksit Bharat.
For Lincoln American University, the event was more than a run; it was an opportunity for its students to connect with the wider community, participate in a meaningful initiative, and represent LAU with pride.
Congratulations to Miss Sukaniya and Mr. Bhavishya on being part of this memorable occasion!
