The High Commission of India and the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC) in Georgetown, Guyana, in collaboration with Lincoln American University (LAU), hosted a kickoff event for the 10th International Day of Yoga at LAU. Representing H.E. Dr. Amit Telang, High Commissioner of India to Guyana, SVCC Director Shri Rudra Jayanta Bhagawati graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. LAU students greeted guests with traditional TILAK. The program commenced with a welcome address by LAU Vice Chancellor Air Marshal (Dr.) Pawan Kapoor (Retd.) and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. This was followed by a cultural performance by LAU students and a keynote briefing on the International Day of Yoga by Director Bhagawati. On behalf of the High Commissioner, the Director presented Yoga T-shirts and mats to the LAU fraternity. The event's highlight was a scintillating Yoga session conducted by the YOGA expert, leaving participants refreshed and inspired.
