On a meeting held on 16th September 2021 between Air Marshal Dr Pawana Kapoor, Vice Chancellor and Dr. Dinesh Singla, Dean, of Lincoln American University with H.E. Charrandass Persaud, High Commissioner of Republic of Guyana in Republic of India, with the aim of easing the visa concerns of Indian students.

The management of Lincoln American University also met with Ms. Taramatte Sabrina Chitram, First Commissioner of the Cooperation Republic of Guyana and Esther Gittens, Counsellor, First Commissioner of the Cooperation Republic of Guyana to address the Visa concerns of Indian students in Guyana.
As of present, students studying in Guyana have to renew their study visa every year. However, the meeting decided that now students seeking medical education at Lincoln American University can get a direct 3 year Visa. Therefore, this step further aims to ease their stay at the university.
